The Centre for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies (EDAM) is pleased to announce that it has been named the world’s 20th Defense and National Security think tank for 2018. The ranking was announced in the 2018 Global Go to Think Tank Index Report compiled by the University of Pennsylvania’s Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the Lauder Institute.

EDAM is the only Turkish think-tank in the global top 50 that ranked for “the Defense and National Security”, and still holds its position as the most ranked think tank from Turkey. With this ranking, EDAM is leaving behind other Top Global Think Tanks such as Chatham House from the UK and SIPRI from Sweden.

In addition, EDAM repeated its success from 2015 as being ranked in top 20; “21st Best Think Tank with Annual Operating Budgets of Less Than $5 Million USD globally” and “17th Best Think Tank in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).” EDAM’s annual flagship event the Bodrum Roundtable was ranked 22nd in the best think-tank conference category globally.
